Development, teamwork and leadership skills

For us, sports sponsorship plays a big role in supporting talent, developing communities and creating positive perspectives in life. Through targeted partnerships between the young athletes and us, we not only want to support sporting activities, but also convey important values. The young people not only benefit from improved training conditions and modern equipment, but also have the opportunity to show their skills at national and international level. This not only promotes sporting competition, but also contributes to personal development, teamwork and leadership skills.

Motocross

Lion Greve was born in Geldern in 2005. He discovered his fascination for motocross one weekend when he attended a race in Kamp-Lintfort with his father. His aunt happened to have a small children's motorcycle from China, which they then repaired and he was able to ride on a private dirt road. At the age of 11 he received his first motocross machine, a 65cc KTM with a manual transmission, and at the age of 17 a Husqvarna with a 250cc 4-stroke engine. And – from his girlfriend’s father – the support of NIS. In 2022, he unexpectedly achieved his first podium at a race in Weilerswist, placing third in the junior class.

After this success, his friend Mark decided to start a motocross team - Dellen Motorsport - for the 2023 season to support young riders. Thanks to the financial support of NIS and the Dellen Motorsport team, Lion was able to drive his first full racing season in 2023 and win third place in the junior class.

Winter training in Spain and a second place on the podium in Luxembourg (Bockholtz) were further highlights in his young career. He is proudly looking forward to moving up to the National MX2 class in 2024 and continuing to count on the support of NIS.
